Carie and I backpacked from Aspen over Maroon Pass towards Crested Butte over the July 4th weekend. The trail begins at Maroon Lake, in front of the very famous Maroon Bells.

  1. Ah, nothing like the feeling of fresh mud between your toes, unless you can catch a lift of air like the high-flying Carie — oh,oh,oh what a feeling to be climbing in the Rockies! Never get tired of seeing those beautiful Maroon Bells:)
